A $160 million new construction design to replace existing Lithium Facility to increase production and safety due to age and use. Collect all heat trace information and apply piping information for use in the design and implementation, installation of heat trace elements. RayChem heat trace systems learning, review of documents for 90% release to construction, review process and procedure for contractor to follow during construction phase and adhere to design requirements and equipment that matches design and safety standards the engineers provided.

Electrical design for added facilities, update (correct) legacy electrical drawings from as built design to current as found conditions.

Design Real Time Radiography (RTR) installation into PAD 10 electrical system design.

SKM arc flash circuit schematic layout for arc flash analysis.

Verify and Qualify all selected components for installation are acceptable according to LANL Conduct of Engineering Requirements.

Completed calculations for voltage drop, cable ampacity derating due heat and conduit sizing to be in compliance of NEC and LANL engineering standards.

Update (correct) legacy errors in B375 drawings including voltage drop, ampacity and arc flash to support addition of CMP(Corrugated Metal Pipe) project in B375.

Configuration Management details address DOE finding regarding lack of panel and outlet labels in Domes 230, 231, & 412, completed immediate hand labelling to give electricians proper labelling needs and placement.

Arc flash preliminary study was completed for form 2193 Electrical Risk/Hazard Assessment Record for use by planners to verify risks and what level of PPE needs to be worn by electricians to complete work packages.

Surge Protection Device (SPD) audit to confirm lack of proper maintenance and records for these devices that are primary safety aspect of the lightning protection system.

Completion of SPD maintenance audit with recommended repair, replace, or install action item.

SPD maintenance path to extend to BACA (Lightning Protection subcontractor) contractual furtherance of protection system maintenance testing and repair to include the SPDs.

Senior Cognizant System Engineer

Sr. Cognizant System Engineer for WHO01 & 02 TRU (Transuranic Waste) waste handling operations working with mixed nuclear/hazardous waste streams consisting of both contact handled and remote handled waste. Waste emplaced in underground salt mine requiring additional MSHA mine safety training and knowledge.
