Principal Software Engineer (Remote) @ Comcast Corporation Sep 2015 – till date

X1 MSO Partnering Layer (XMP):

•Senior Technical member of the XMP team Syndication Engineering group within Comcast. Responsible for strategic planning, Operational, integration and define technical work for the team. Participate in planning and design of the team’s operational environment monitor emerging technologies, practices for potential use within the team and company to meet the needs to Syndication business.

•Responsible to define architecture for the cloud-based infrastructure (mainly AWS) planning, design and guide the team for implementation. Defined REST APIs using Swagger, worked with AWS API Gateway, SNS/SQS, Lambda, CloudWatch, DynamoDB in a multi-region environment to support uninterrupted service, developed using Python 3.10.

Comcast Xfinity IoT Adapters for Smart-home devices:

•End to end responsibility of IOT Service Layer, a REST API based application that serves Xfinity Home – Security, Smart home ecosystem in a key role. Interfaces with Rules Engine, iControl, software bridges (between Comcast and third-party clouds) to provide necessary IOT device control upon rule execution. Work involves architecture, design, implementation, optimization, performance, scalability, deployments and production support. Worked on this application for both sync and async versions (to handle events). Used Node.Js, Express.Js, Protobufs, Redis, Kafka, AWS SDK, HAL+JSON, OAuth2.0, Splunk, RESTFUL, github.

•Responsible for architecture/design & building Software bridges (adapters) to integrate Comcast Xfinity ecosystem with Philips Hue, Google Nest, August, Lutron, Lifx and Ecobee/Carrier thermostat IOT devices. Involves OAuth2.0, Node.Js. Express.js, Redis, MQTT, Splunk, Firebase, consul, github.

Sr. Software Consultant @ PayPal, San Jose, CA May 2014 – Aug 2015

•Developed front-end UI in PayPal Optimizer chrome extension app, which allows merchants to scan and optimize their websites. The tool recommends best practices to improve the customer conversion rate. Used Backbone.js, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, Google analytics, Java backend.

•Developer in Wyndham-PayPal integration project to allow Wyndham customers to automatically check-in to the resort using PayPal beacon. Developed web page for users to download iOS application, and mobile web pages within iOS App. Used Backbone.js, JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3, Java Spring MVC.

•Lead developer in PayPal demo portal (https://demo.paypal.com) application. Re-architecture and redesign of Kraken/node.js application to showcase PayPal product capabilities using sample merchant types, multiple countries/locales based on their location/preference. Built customization of the user experience using a mega menu. PayPal users can create/save/experience profiles (saved in MongoDB) with these customizations. •Developing front end (HTML 5, CSS 3, JQuery, AJAX) for operator panel telephony application, which lets the front office receptionist to take WebRTC Video/Voice calls as well as PSTN calls. The application allows instant messaging among co-workers.

•Developed Software infrastructure in (Node.js, Express.js, Mongodb, HTML5, JQuery) to configure, auto provision Polycom, Panasonic & Yealink VoIP phones on HTTP/HTTPS connections from remote location. Service provider would be able to enter phone numbers, configuration in one web portal and phones from remote location would auto provision themselves given the URL of provisioning server.

•Developed network analytics application in a Hadoop infrastructure to monitor data center servers to analyze various operational issues such as: SIP attacks, Call quality issues, Call drops, one way audio issues, NAT/Firewall issues and network behavior.

•Managed VoIP software Architecture/design for the SRX branch router series based on Asterisk Open-source PBX. Development of logic/software to detect failures over all layers of TCP/IP stack for immediate fail-over to make survivable media gateway product (SRX branch router series) highly available.

•Product management and System Integration to make Residential Gateway Products (RGS Plus, ProV). •Developed high-performance multi-threaded sniffer, software drivers to find performance numbers for the SIP Proxy server.
