Resume:

BIOMEDICAL RESEARCH SCIENTIST

Proven success driving groundbreaking advancement in the field of functional genomics and drug targets. Track record of research in the field of:

Biochemistry, Molecular Biology and Human genetics.

Cell signaling and Drug targets.

In-vitro experiments and experimental design for mechanistic study. EDUCATION

Jadavpur University, Kolkata, India, Ph.D in Life Science (2014) University of Kalyani, Kalyani, India, M.Sc in Biochemistry (2005) Vidyasagar University, Midnapur, India, B.Sc in Chemistry(2003) EXPERIENCES

Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation, Oklahoma City, OK. Assistant Staff Scientist from 2018 to March, 2023. Manage molecular biology research laboratory and projects focused on functional genomics to identify functional genetic variants associated with Lupus disease and its regulatory mechanism for development of better molecular targets. Research Project Highlights:

Led research and development of functionally characterizing the variants and generated data for NIH R21 and PHF grant.

Conducted research on in-depth mechanistic study of a gene SLC15A4 which was funded a R21 grant.

From the study, we identified a specific allele of a enhancer element which could enhance any mammalian gene expression by 100 to 200 fold higher in cell lines. Based on the data, a R01 grant has been submitted to NIH.

Developed a method to design, clone and teste any enhancer and promoter element by Luciferase assay.

Contributed for the development of method to clone genomic library and isolate large-scale plasmid.

Volunteer to the Editorial process in different reputed Journals and awarded Publon Peer Review Award-2018. University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, OK. Postdoctoral Fellow from 2016 to 2018

Designed, conducted and completed research on CLL B-cell biology and mechanism of drug resistance in relapsed patients.

Research Project Highlights:

Collected patients samples and data from clinics.

Led research to understand the mechanisms of development of drug resistance and aberrant signal transduction pathways of chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL) pathogenesis for developing better therapeutic targets. Guru Prasad Maiti, PhD
