I’ve worked at my current place of employment for a little over 10 years. I started as a package handler but worked my way up the management ladder throughout the years.

As a package handler, my job was to manually load trailers with parcel/packages.

As a package handler trainer, my primary job function was to train all incoming new hire’s assigned to me on the proper ways to load a trailer by hand

OPERATIONS MANAGER, FEDEX GROUND, MEMPHIS, TN 2016-2020

My responsibility as an Operations Manager was to effectively run my load area. I managed between 7-20 package handlers, managed my volume, completed administrative work (write ups, monthly safety meetings, etc.), opened/closed out trailers timely through our TMS system

OPERATIONS SAFETY SPECIALIST, FEDEX GROUND, MEMPHIS, TN 2020-PRESENT

My responsibilities in my current role include working with all incoming new hires with both dock safety and hazmat training, handling all injuries/first aids through our SCMS system, keeping track of all monthly safety meetings, safety inspections, I work with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel daily. I also keep close contact with any accommodations for injuries package handlers (work and non work-related), keep track of follow up appointments, communicate with adjusters, etc. all things safety come to me direct
