Principal Accountant/Auditor – Responsible for the day-to-day operations of the senior
audit staff that includes reviewing and approving all audit reports, issuing audit assignments,
providing assistance for the auditors, performing evaluations, conducting taxpayer
conferences, assisting the Tax & License Administrator, performing audit research of the tax
laws, maintaining office supplies and records management policy for the audit staff.
2006–2015 City of Bessemer, Bessemer, Alabama
Director of Finance, Acting/City Clerk, Acting/Principal Accountant – Responsible for
day to day operations, planning, and management of the City of Bessemer with over 400
employees. Oversee the financial and management of Bessemer Utilities (Electric and
Water) with over 150 employees. Direct supervision for accounts payable, payroll, municipal
courts and administration which includes exempt and non-exempt staff. Responsible for
