Manager – Finance Billing System Operations/Implementations

Viasat, Inc. May, 2016 – Nov., 2023

Responsibilities include expanding my knowledge base by working with cross-functional teams to ensure clear understanding/translation of Business Requirements to System Requirements. Aiding in the implementation of key international business initiatives through the management of the System Development Lifecycle, vendor relationships, and business partners. The development of Key Performance Indicator tracking methods to provide complete and accurate data for quick, flexible adjustments to meet business objectives, manage release calendars, project prioritization, and forecast workforce requirements. Key accomplishments include:

Manager for the Billing Operations team directing the tactical daily operations including $47M/month in bill generation, billing escalations, B2B, and B2C operations.

Creator/Manager for the Finance Systems Implementation team overseeing system enhancements, production fixes, and escalations utilizing the agile methodology.

Directed, designed, and implemented standardized testing and testing automation incorporating regression, functional, and UAT testing streams resulting in a 200% increase in tests completed reducing defects and risk across the international business units.

Financial systems SME/SPOC for international BOSS systems for international service launces in 6 countries (Mexico, Brazil, Spain, Poland, Norway, Italy). Documenting all system requirements and directing UAT testing to comply with SOX and Regulatory requirements using agile methodology.
