OVERLOOK MEDICAL CENTER/ATLANTIC HEALTH
ATLANTIC NEUROSCIENCE - GLASSER BRAIN TUMOR CENTER
November 2014 – January 2022
Providing and Coordinating clinical care for our Neuro-Research – Brain Tumor Protocols. Assuring patient safety, ongoing maintenance of informed consent, integrity of protocol implementation accuracy of data collection between multiple departments and data management with a central focus on managing subject screening, enrollment and follow-up. Works with CROs to ensure our regulatory and data is in compliance with company standards.
In the eight years I have been honored to work for four renowned Neuro-Oncologist who have extensive research backgrounds on the National and European stage. significant Brain Tumor and Brain Stem Trials.
I have also collaborated closely with the Neuro-Surgeon and his
Team for nearly two years on a intra-cavity vector protocol.
Under a New Research Medical Director/Neuro-Oncology Director we had become part of Alliance and opened four Alliance Trials and a novel recurrent agent, VAL083..
Dr.Jaeckle, was with us for 2.5 years from Mayo Clinic and went back to Fla.
Dr. Robert Aiken from Rutgers Cancer Center joined us a year later in the meantime we did some Covid Trials.
2021 we opened 5 trials nearly
at one time. A bench vaccine rial was to start in Feb of 2022.
I would have to say my most stellar moments are with my Brain Stem patients they are all very young and desperate yet stoic. They do come from all over the world which brough many challenges in so many emotional, quick thinking ways. This was a Expanded Use-Compassionate Study.
My second Stellar and very exciting research job I was asked to coordinate a collaborative effort for a procedure never done at our hospital: It was emergency use of Peripheral Stem Cell Treatment at OMC for Cardiac Stroke symptoms. We infused PSTI three times. This was very exciting and not without side effects. I had great backup, a MD from a University Hospital who had great experience with the PSTI.
My third Stellar: The job prior, they hired a Multiple Myeloma Specialist and I was asked to work with him and his patients. Together, we worked with multidiscipline to open a outpatient stem cell program. Successful 2 years, Dr. Siegel went to a University Hospital thereafter for more support.

Oncology has been my passion all my years of nursing. I have been a nurse over 30 years with no regrets. Quick, Complex thinking on my feet. I love family dynamics and mutual problem solving. As a Holistic nurse I love to sit, listen and see where I am needed, whether it is to hand hold or to look up nutritional advice.
I have taught many graduate and degree nurses as they made the change from hospital floor nursing to outpatient chemotherapy infusion nursing.
Triage: Emergency/Non-Emergent Calls: 13 physicians/3 NPs
I had initiated a NEW graduate nurse program and took the nurse under my study for 1-2 years, worked out beautifully.
