Employed as an armed CSO with arrest authority, I performed the following critical assignments': assigned as the Control Center (CC) officer, I observed all CCTV monitors' surrounding the Godbold and Tuttle Buildings; in addition, I documented all critical movements of assigned federal judges, package deliveries, waste pickup, and documented mandatory security checks, and any unusual pedestrians activities on a daily log for the Lead Court Security Officer (LCSO) and/or U.S. USMS JSI's review. As an Front Lobby Rover, I provided rest and lunch breaks for senior CSOs. Furthermore; I conducted mandatory interior checks of the Godbold building, to include, exterior checks around the Tuttle and Godbold Buildings'. Once completed, I notified the CC via assigned radio, of the status and completion time(s). Assigned at the Walton Booth, I notified the CC of the arrival of federal judges, contractors, and any law enforcement officials. I observed all pedestrian activity on Walton and Farlie Streets to protect and safeguard the COA and assigned federal judges. All activities were documented in the daily logbook for review. On 4-10-2020, during my probationary period, at approximately 10:57 [EST], while performing an "exterior check" of the Tuttle Building upon turning down Poplar Street, at the door entrance I saw a brown box on the top step on the left side. I backed up 25 yards contacted the CC via radio, and informed the CC of a possible Improvised Explosive Device (IED.) LCSO Vernon Johnson informed me that the box was a quarterly "test scenario" and instructed me to retrieve the test box and report back to the CC. An incident report was created and submitted. The report number is: 04-01-2020- followed by the BLDG. NUMBER. Reason for departure- surgery required. Released by surgeon to full activities.

Employed as an Assistant Supervisor- Sergeant, along with the Shift Lieutenant. I supervised Correctional Officers (COs) by assigning post assignments, reviewing incident statements and/or reports, verified detainee assigned housing unit, responded to code 10 and code black alarms, and the overall safety of the facility. GROUND BASE TASK-FORCE:

As a Federal Air Marshal (FAM) selected to participate in Visual Intermodal Protection and Response (VIPR)

The objective of VIPR operations is to be a force multiplier by assisting local, state, and federal law enforcement agencies in disrupting illegal activity and terrorist threats within the transportation sector. From January 2, 2011 through July 19, 2011, I participated in the following operations: performed numerous operations in support of Central Ohio Transit Authority (COTA), which consists of traveling bus routes covering the state capitol, federal building, Ohio State University (OSU), and local businesses in Columbus, Ohio. In addition; I completed missions in support of the Greater Cleveland Regional Transit Authority (GCRTA), rail and bus routes to and from Tower City and Public Square in Cleveland, Ohio. On January 10-11, 2011, I assisted the Ohio State Patrol, Columbus Division Police, and COTA. This mission provided additional support during the Governor's inauguration. In September 2009, I conducted a VIPR mission during Cleveland air show at the Burke Lakefront Airport. This operation included; providing maritime security with the Coast Guard, and mobile patrol security with Transportation Security Administration (TSA) Security Inspectors, bomb technicians, and behavioral detection officers. In July 2009, I participated in a VIPR mission in Kentucky, at the Green Locks and Dam. This operation was supported by federal, state, and local law enforcement agencies such as: Coast Guard Water Craft team, TSA Security Inspectors and bomb technicians, Ohio State Patrol and Special Response Team (SRT), and Ohio’s bomb squad and fire department. Private sectors’ included: CSX railroad systems, chemical plants and transport facilities, gas pipeline facilities, petroleum transport facilities, and Duke energy powers plant and transport facilities. This training was a collaborated effort by all resources, to secure critical transportation infrastructures and detect, disrupt, or deter terrorist activity.
