Lead Instrument Engineer/TA: ENERGEAN ISRAEL LTD, Karish FPSO Project, Sembawang Shipyard Singapore, Siemens yard Batam & Haifa Office

Company position reporting directly to the Project Delivery Manager. Responsible for validating all the contractors instrument, control & telecom construction & commissioning documentation including work scope variation proposals. Weekly meetings with contractor management team during construction phase to raise & clear QC issues with regards to equipment deliveries & preservation. Attending FAT’s for the Siemens PCS7 ICSS equipment and validating TQ’s & Safety Software Change Requests whilst also raising MoC’s. Overseeing all FPSO instrument, fire & gas, telecom & security systems layout planning and attending walkdowns to sign off area MC documentation. Witnessing commissioning of all ICSS, Instrument & Process equipment, all SIF testing and signing off all trade related documentation, inclusive of the final performance test, for the operations dept. Lead Instrument Construction/Pre-Commissioning Engineer PACO: BASRAH GAS COMPANY, Southern Iraq.

Company position, arranging MC walkdowns and discipline acceptance then powering up and function testing all instrument systems to a number of new Yokogawa PCS/IPS/F&G installations, including ICSS SAT’s, on new & existing gas compression and NGL facilities using a GoC completion management system. Raising/answering TQ’s and punchlist items and handing over systems to operations. On several compressor brownfield plants, overseeing the installation and commissioning of a series of anti-surge upgrades inclusive of all field equipment and tying into a number of new Yokogawa PCS/IPS ICSS panels.

Answering directly to the Commissioning Superintendent, responsible for raising all PTW’s, and ensuring all scope complies with the company HSSE regulations, for the commissioning of all Instrumentation to/from a series of Yokogawa PCS and HIMA SIS/F&G systems whilst using an Opercom ICAPS completion management database to ensure an efficient handover process. Raising and closing out punch list items and carrying out SIF testing on the HIPPS flowline equipment whilst also commissioning the four GE LM2500 driven gas export compressors.

Lead Instrument Construction/Commissioning Engineer: SHELL PHILIPPINES, Gas Depletion Project, Philippines

Company position answering directly to the Commissioning Manager, responsible for writing/updating equipment commissioning procedures, attending HAZOP, HAZID meetings to establish the Safety Case. Attend FAT visits for package equipment and SAT’s. Overseeing engineering design, construction & pre-commissioning/commissioning of all field instrumentation & telecom PAGA/CCTV systems to/from the ICSS & UCP/PLC panels incorporating Modbus Multiplex systems for the new platform and the brownfield/SIMOP’s scope on the existing platform in alignment with the GoC completion management system. Registering all MOC/software modifications/red line documentation and raising/answering TQ’s. Ensure SCE testing is reviewed and project TIV is complied with including ensuring that all mechanical/electrical/instrument installations are fully compliant to IEC standards. Complete testing and commissioning of all FGS/SIS/PAS/UCP/HVAC systems and C&E matrices that were witnessed by the operations management team prior to the introduction of hydrocarbons and the final performance testing of the two Rolls Royce gas turbine driven gas compressor packages. Running daily commissioning update meetings whilst offshore via link up to the onshore management team.

Commissioning lead for all offshore scope ensuring project is completed safely and platform start up is on schedule.

Oversee phase 2 deep water high pressure well expansion project, inclusive of flow line flushing and remote drill rig telemetry platform ESD equipment design and installation.

Instrument Construction/Commissioning Engineer: SBM, Aseng Tanker to FPSO Conversion Project, Keppel & Dynamac Singapore, Offshore Equatorial Guinea (2010-2012)

Company position overseeing the construction and installation of all instrument systems for topside modules in Dynamac fabrication yard. Integration of systems into hull and turret architecture in Keppel shipyard and scheduled sub-contractor attendance in line with the commissioning scope. Moved from instrument MC lead to commissioning lead over instrument (Emerson SIS/F&G/PAS), mechanical and production systems and performed handover to the operations team during sail down, and offshore hook up phases using WinPCS completion management system.

Electrical/Instrument Construction/Commissioning Engineer: BP NORWAY, Skarv FPSO Turret Project, Keppel & Dynamac Singapore & Samsung South Korea (2009-2010)

Oversaw instrument/electrical system mechanical completion, and responsible for their preservation, on manifold/gantry/turret units and delivery of complete package to Samsung, S.Korea. Inspected electrical/instrument equipment to ensure compliance to Norsok & IEC hazardous area requirements in conjunction with DSB representative. Supervised all field instrument/electrical commissioning and HV/LV/instrument cable/hydraulic tie-ins during turret swivel construction/loop testing and served as liaison between contractor and client. Managed integration and commissioning of turret to topsides/hull systems using WinPCS completion management system.
