Scope of Work

• Managing Housekeeping team, Public Areas, Back areas and guest rooms; mentor, develop, provide training and evaluate team to ensure continuous improvement, planning for succession and smooth operation of housekeeping division and exceptional customer service.

• Briefing team members & supervising their work performance to assure they meet hotel standards.

• Coordinating & communicating other departments for maximum departmental productivity & guest satisfaction.

• Training and developing the other Housekeeping team, to maintain costs within the Department, to obtain the highest possible and balanced Brand Standard audit certification and departmental productivity.

• Maintaining and supervise an efficient cleaning and servicing operation to rooms, bathrooms, corridors, Public Areas and service areas as allocated. To ensure that the rooms are cleaned to the hotel standards. To monitor/oversee on job order issued to Engineering Department.

• Dealing with Lost & Found property as per hotel policy.

• Preparing/Amending duty roasters for department as per operational needs.

• Preparing cleaning schedules for public areas and rooms and ensures proper methods are maintained.

• Recommend items to be written off and new purchases.

• Keeping inventories & records of housekeeping department & update them time to time.

• Check & arrange regular schedules for pest controls of hotel premises.

• Handle & investigate guest complaints to take corrective measures.

• Recommend rooms, which need spring cleaning or maintenance in co-ordination with Engineering and Front Office.

• Achieving and exceeding goals and targets set for housekeeping including room accommodation ratings, attendant ratings, housekeeping operational reviews, Eval Pack audit, inspections and employee satisfaction.

• Managing the financial aspects and meeting revenue targets of all housekeeping revenue streams, while analyzing operational problems, establishing controls, and partnering with other management team members to develop and implement new promotions.

• Conducting annual performance review and preparing development plans accordingly for housekeeping Department as well as team.

• Assist in the preparation and review of yearly budgets and financial operational business plan to enhance overall business needs of the division.

• Maintain a safe, secure and healthy environment by enforcing organizational standards, procedures and legal regulations, while effectively monitoring and making improvements to workplace safety throughout the hotel premises

• To ensure the standards required by Law and by Management are maintained at all times in the areas specified above.
