Dar Al Riyadh (PMC)

Abha Regional Airport Project October 2015 – December2017

Abha Regional Airport development consists of three phases, with the first phase ending in 2018 with an annual capacity of seven million passengers and 11 jet ways and car parking facilities that can accommodate up to 3,000 vehicles. 2nd phase capacity will be increased to reach nine million and 24 Jet ways, while the car parking facility will be set up to accommodate 6,000 vehicles. In the airport’s third and final stage the passenger capacity will increase to 13 million, 36 Jetways and the parking facility will have a maximum capacity of 10,000 vehicles.

Duties and Resposibilities:

Responsible for reviewing and maintaining HSE studies undertaken by Contractors ensuring relevant recommendations are consistently implemented and audited across the project.

Consistent review of Job Hazard Analysis (JHA’s) ensuring all risks are reduced to As Low As Reasonably Practicable (ALARP).

Promoting and developing a “Zero Incident Culture” to naturally prevent serious injuries and achieve a consistently high HSE performance.

The Shah Gas Development project was developed to gather and process very sour gas. The plant design included some of the world's largest amine treating and sulphur recovery units. Fluor led conceptual development and front-end design and is program management consultant for engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC). During a two-year period, Fluor aided Al Hosn Gas in moving the project from initial concept through feasibility study; project economic analysis; FEED; and the Health, Safety, and Environmental Impact Assessment.

OyuTolgoi Mongolia- Ivanhoe Mines Mining Project April 2010 - February 2011

The OyuTolgoi mine is a combined open pit and underground mining project in Khanbogd sum within the south Gobi Desert, approximately 235 kilometres east of the Ömnögovi Province capital Dalanzadgad. The site was discovered in 2001 and is a joint venture between Turquoise Hill Resources with 66% ownership and the Government of Mongolia with 34%. The mine began construction as of 2010 and shipped its first batch of copper, all 5,800 tons of it, July 2013.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Responsible for the promotion, implementation and monitoring of all safety practices across the construction of this significant project.

Advising, mentoring and supporting all project staff on all matters related to Safe Work Practices on-site.

Review of all job hazard analysis for work fronts ensuring hazards are identified and controls are implemented.
