Draw blood and non-blood specimen collection
Ensure that patients, from whom blood, or other specimen is to be taken, are correctly identified and educated about the actual procedure and their rights, in compliance with relevant standard operating procedures.
Draw blood and collect non-blood specimens using the correct and sterile equipment in a manner that will yield best results.
Observe patient’s physical condition
Observe physical condition of a patient during blood taking and apply sound First Aid processes to ensure safety and comfort of patients.
Dispose of bio-hazardous waste
Ensure that bio-hazardous waste is disposed of in the correct manner to comply with relevant safety protocols and standard operating procedures.
