Position: Senior Process Plant Operator
Worked in collaboration with Metso-Outotec, L&T and Wetico during construction and commissioning of various plant units such as Low-grade thickeners, Tails paste thickeners, Crushing plant, Counter current Decantation thickeners,Raw water treatment plant, Demin water treatment plant, concentrate thickening, filtering and repulping.
Demin water plant/Raw water treatment plant -Duties and Responsibilities:
Monitoring and inspecting plant equipment and systems to detect equipment malfunctions and ensure plant systems are operating normally.
Collect water samples to test conductivity, pH, TDS, and chlorides.
Responsible for training new employees on safe and productive water treatment plant operation
Utilize HMI & DCS systems to monitor and control plant operations.
Responsible for handling general cleaning of work area.
Inspect machines or equipment for hazards, operating efficiency, malfunctions, wear, or leaks.
Optimize water levels in tanks and sand filters for best flow and quality.

Responsible for carrying out plant pre-start up inspections.

Conduct regular inspections of conveyors, feeders, tanks, valves, pressure gauges, flow meters to ensure that they are operating normally and in good condition.
Responsible for handling general cleaning of work area.

Monitoring the clarity of process water from the concentrate thickener overflow

Monitor the plant to ensure the plant is running safely and production is consistent.
Adjust secondary and tertiary crushers by calibrating CSS to optimize performance.
Collect crushed ore material samples for laboratory testing.
Remove build up from under or around crushers and beltlines.
Inspect belt scale and clean daily and record scale readings.
Ensure nobody enters safety perimeter while operating the crushing plant.
