Providing advisory and management services including corporate development strategies; sales, marketing, & business development campaigns; strategic planning support, conducting non-advocacy reviews, risk mitigation assessments, customer satisfaction initiatives, and out-of-the-box solutions. • Empire Airlines, Coeur d’Alene, Idaho. Provided advisory services to assist in evaluating/re-directing a technology venture focused on UAV services.

• Provided extensive BD and sales support for a unique, patented new cyber security encryption system capable of protecting data, stored or in motion, from todays “conventional” digital computer attacks as well as being able to defeat attacks by the far more powerful and dangerous advanced quantum computers being developed by IBM, Google, and others.

• Formed and led a technical advisory group which played key role in a successful $100M SPAC IPO in 2022.

MITSUBISHI AIRCRAFT CORPORATION AMERICA, INC., Plano, Texas, Senior Vice President, 2009-2017 Oversaw market development from ground up for an advanced new regional jet in North, South, and Central America. Had a significant role in early-stage corporate development of this OEM start-up. Formulated a number of strategic initiatives. Carried out strategic sales into the world’s largest RJ market area within the extremely complex and competitive commercial aircraft/airline industry. Directed initial market analysis, planning, image building, sales, marketing, team building, network development, customer contacts, product planning, competitive assessment, and more. Helped mentor headquarters and field components regarding the highly challenging commercial aviation industry as a whole (competitors, supplier-partners, and customer airlines), aircraft sales, marketing, manufacturing, potential strategic acquisitions, etc. Secured and closed over $10,000,000,000 in new aircraft sales before first test aircraft ever flew.

AAR CORP., Chicago, Illinois, Vice President, Business Development’ 2004-2009. Provided active business development support within U.S. and worldwide to all operating units, profit centers, and corporate divisions of AAR, specifically focusing on developing strategic OEM relationships and identifying opportunities for internal synergism to profitably address new and unique market potentials. Structured a joint venture with a major international aerospace company to provide design, engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, and after-market customer support subservice, tech transfer, and business development for a major new aircraft OEM. Collaborated with a member of the House of Lords and others on a feasibility study for an airline in the post-Marcos governed Philippines for a number of issues, including to enhance utilization of the Subic Bay Naval Base’s air facilities abandoned by the U.S. and under early use as a hub for Asian distribution by FedEx and for manufacturing/final assembly work by other international companies. Presented FEMA in Washington, DC with proprietary AAR advanced communications systems for interconnecting their diverse Disaster Relief “First Responders” – each with different telecom systems – to greatly accelerate responsiveness after hurricanes, tornadoes, floods, etc.

• Initiated and developed new $800,000,000 opportunity for AAR with leading Japanese manufacturing group.

• Secured high-profile prospective Asian JV partner to participate in and strengthen the market presence of a multimillion-dollar MRO facility owned by AAR in Asia, with significant operations from baseline airlines.

THE AVALON GROUP, LLC, Round Hill, VA & Huntington Beach, California, President, 1996-2004. Led extensive network of global professionals in providing consulting services, contract sales/marketing, organizational restructure, market initiatives, acquisition of financing, and other management issues. Provided assistance to early stage companies through development of growth strategies. Created market access into new industries and new customers for a $500,000,000 (sales) Chicago-based, publicly traded technology company, resulting in $100,000,000 in new sales over the following four years. Assembled and coordinated actions of international team of professionals to assist in development of sales opportunities for leading South American company in Asia.

WORLD AIRWAYS, INC., Herndon, Virginia, Vice President, Sales, 1993-1996. Led development of all new international leasing business globally, with particular emphasis on Asia. Opened up entire People’s Republic of China for new business. Negotiated a strategic arrangement with Head of AAD (Chinese FAA) in Beijing. Structured and negotiated first direct service from Africa to U.S. in over 20 years through creative and highly profitable risk-sharing wet-lease operation with Ghana Airways (Accra to JFK with a new MD-11).
