CNC Programmer, Xtreme Machining June 2014 - July 2016

• Head CNC programmer for company, where I was responsible for Programming of Johnford vertical and Doosan HP5100 horizontal mills. In the design and manufacture of gun parts as well as general contract machining jobs, my programming expertise is on Unigraphics software. The types of programming abilities range from simple two and three axis machining to complex 3-D machining. I have experience with hard milling as well as high speed machining.

●Increased productivity while employed here thru my knowledge of tooling and collaboration with supervisor and tooling reps for turning of Inconel 718, Where the previous process took approx. three-four hours and involved many tool changes.

●The changes made yielded less tool changes and shortened the process to approx. 45 mins. Boosting yield from an estimated eight to 10 pins per machine per week to eight pins per machine per day or 40 per week.

● Programming completed either at the machine for basic contours or for more complex and 3D machining programming is completed on Cam system by a programmer.

●Setup, programmed and operation of Fadal 15XT, 6030, and Mazak Smart 300M lathe, In the manufacture of die components and parts for automotive/ heavy equipment. Also extensive use of fixtures to perform tasks.

●During my employment I helped to increase production thru the implementation of improved cutting data. Also while there I repaired a large manual lathe with the help of fellow employees in the replacement of bearings in the headstock and repair of a drive pulley by sleeving and reboring the taper in the pulley.

●Improved part finish and tool life by replacing the Castrol coolant with Blaser Swiss lube. I also sourced information for different lathe machine tools that were available for purchase. Which the company settled on the Mazak that was purchased and I programmed and tooled up after it arrived.

●Programming of jobs completed either at the controller for simple to intermediately complex designs, parts also programmed on EZ-CAM v20 for basic 2D to intricate 3d 3-axis milling.
