Motor Vehicle Technician – Oct. 2011- Sept. 2013

Worked as a Technician in a shop that performed many different task to State Department vehicles. The different vehicles that were repaired were BMW’s, Mercedes’s, Toyota’s, Chevrolet’s, Ford’s, Hyster forklifts, Caterpillar forklifts, and JLG scissor lifts. Responsibilities of the job also included ordering parts, pulling parts, troubleshooting and diagnosing the faulty vehicles, and performing services and proper upkeep of these 150 vehicles on the camp site. Along with these duties daily gaurd duty was performed by every mechanic in the shop to look over the foreign nationals doing work, taking their lunch breaks, and overseeing the Iraq and Indian laborer’s we had at the camp site located in Irbil, Iraq. Field Service Representative – Jan. 2011- March 2011 Responsibilities of this job was the installation, training, inventory, servicing, and repairs of all ECP (entry control point equipment) that was delivered to the various sites across military bases located in Afghanistan. The repairs included repairing hydraulic hoses, electrical troubleshooting, welding, and supervising soldiers that were to operate and assist in stalling the ECP equipment. This job also involved giving power points to the military about the operation and care of the equipment.

Responsibilities of this job were to do suspension upgrades to the MRAP( RG-33). The upgrade consisted of the vehicle to be totally stripped down to the hull of the vehicle. Heavy Mobile Equipment Mechanic- Feb. 2008- Sept. 2009 On a team of mechanics that was on a ASV retro team. This included adding on upgraded armor and performing the modifications to the vehicle as was required by the fragmentation kit. Mechanic’s responsibilities included reprograming the CTIS system, pulling turrets from the vehicles doing the modifications and reinstalling the turrets. Daily clean up of the shop was a huge responsibility for everyone to maintain the safest working enviornment possible. There were fifty two vehicles that were upgraded at the home site. After that project was done the APS 5 project was the next assignment. It was located in Doha, Qatar. Responsibilities included operator level up to direct and general support level maintenance. Changing out transmissions, engines, transfers, differentials, steering gears, brakes, seals, and radiators. A wide range of vehicles were worked on including 1 ton trucks up to 7 ton trucks.

Assigned to a Modified Work Order shop where upgrades were done to the different military vehicles that was located at the camp. Everything from installing armor kits, fire supression systems, IED detectors, GPK’s, restraint systems to windshield and windows. Coca-Cola Enterprises. (Jonesboro, AR)

Job responsibilities included correct daily inventory, route trucks had the proper product on the vehicles, incoming product was correct with the bill of laiden truck driver’s would bring to the warehouse, and to train new employees on how to read pick tickets and how to stack product on the pallets so they could be loaded properly on the route trucks.
