Responsible for the detection of bacteria and viruses from domestic/imported food and cosmetic products. Bacteria species include the following but not limited to: Salmonella, Listeria, Escherichia and Staphylococcus. Detection is determined by toxin-encoding DNA sequences using real-time PCR, biochemical profiling, hemolysis patterns, microscopic motility, Gram staining, etc. Currently the only Microbiology Analyst at ARKL to complete Drug School. One of three analysts chosen to assist with the implementation of new temperature monitoring system for ARKL. Chosen by management to serve as a representative for ARKL special emphasis group.
