Led the introduction of new Java/JEE/Springs stack at UC Berkeley and our implementation of a multi-university effort called Kuali a joint project with UC, MIT and other universities. This led to successful SOA microservices systems as well.

Led implementation of Hudson/Jenkins. Worked in application security and assistend with JIRA and application management tools.

I led the first implementation - Kuali Ready, a campus-wide disaster recovery system. Worked with end users to design and build this new Kuali system. I then led a 2nd major JEE installation of the Berkeley Course Management System using Elastic Search. Also managed the implementation of Jenkins CI/CD.

Berkeley developed Spark and I became interested and I took the Berkeley Apache Spark class. I then led a group of programmers who eventually became a data engineering project for Cal-Trans. We trained on Azure Databricks we used it PySpark and R to analyze Cal-Trans traffic pattern data. We imported it using Pandas and ran analytics using both PyTorch and TensorFlow.

I wrote engineering programs, and led team of engineering programmers to validated structural and mechanical engineering programs Fortran and Assembly Language on Univac 1100-40. The group consisted of 4-6 engineering programmers and required mathematical, programming, and engineering skills. I wrote code in Fortran and Assembly language.

Reported to both Bechtel Corp and Bechtel Power Division. I worked directly with Pipe Stress Engineering Management and advised the mechanical engineering groups in Bechtel Power.
