My duties at IBP were to do preventive maintenance at the end of a production day I worked 3rd shift and when the last production line was done I would tear down the production line and start my preventive maintenance duties such as check bearings, belts, chains, pumps, electrical boards and panels, and much more and some times we would have to do some line maintenance work on the building we had to do a lot of welding on the lines like rewired legs, rollers, guards, and much more the whole time all this is going on it is 32 degrees in the building and the wash down crew is cleaning the production lines with 195 to 215 degrees of water at 300lbs of pressure try welding on a stainless steel line with water flying around can not feel good at times there was a lot of different kinds of machines in the plant like, dicers, cutters, wizard knifes, meat tenderizers, grinders, deboners, and much more
