ASSISTANT STORE DIRECTOR, ALBERTSONS/ SAFEWAY

I recently graduated from a program through the company called “ASD” (Assistant Store Director) this gives me the opportunity to run a store and has recently become a requirement to move up. While I am running a store I oversee all departments, use emails and phone communication to upper management, complete store walks for food safety and daily checks. My job duties In produce include my managing and leading my own team. I write orders and schedules. I do a daily inventory of product and a more in-depth inventory at the end of each month. I make sure safety and health practices are up to company, Ecolab, and state standards. I join conference meetings 2 to 4 times a week, along with taking on the lead of 16 other stores when my Operation Specialist is unavailable.

I’ve grown with this company, I began at Safeway in Farmington as a cashier, shortly promoted to supervisor of a new section of produce they began called “Fresh Cut.” I managed Fresh cut for 3 years, writing smaller orders, writing schedules, and leading 3 crew members. I was promoted to Produce Manager, made department profitable being recognized by Denver Division President and Vice President. I transferred to Albertsons in Durango where I’m in training to become the store manager.

Job duties included answering phones, filing old and current jobs, ordering supplies for the company. I also prepared Operation & Maintenance Manuals, prepared PO’s, logging data in Excel, sending and receiving emails, delivered parts, received and sorted mail. I also communicated with other businesses and fire marshals on current jobs.

Job duties were, greeting customers and answering phones. Prepared daily drawers for employees, counted down drawers in the evening, collected, counted and balanced money for the entire building and did daily deposits, and wrote checks for vendors. Set up the league bowlers through multiple computers, by using Excel. Scheduled and organized parties and events, creating flyers, preparing and serving food.
