TEACHING AND DIVERSITY:

As a STEM/ Cyber Security educator, my pedagogy is interdisciplinary and draws upon an array of research methods, primary and secondary sources, and real-life application obtained through ethnographic and scientific inquiry. I believe that the most effective way to instill learning objectives in a post-millennial student body is to create a learning environment of diverse backgrounds that engage each other on the usefulness of science, technology, ethical participation, societal and cultural factors shaping modern times. This type of collaborative approach draws upon historical factors which contribute to the 1

current age of technological advancement. Using the application of technology, I search for practical ways in which to make sense of society’s current benefits and challenges whether technological, cultural, social, theological, or political. ACADEMIC APPOINTMENTS:

Adjunct Assistant Professor, CUNY, New York, NY 2023 – Present ENG 1101, 4 Cr. 2 Sections (46 Student) In-person and Online. Coursework equips students majoring in STEM-related careers in the development of essay writing, research methodology and library science. The course layout explores multiple paths for addressing demographic, genre, and media driven by their respective field of study. The courses delves into research provided by leading academic scholars, scientists, and experts across various disciplines. Each student produces a research paper and a final presentation after reviewing and analyzing expert research found in chapters, journal articles, digital resources, surveys, and ethnographic fieldwork. Graduate Teacher’s Assistant - School of Engineering, LSU, Baton Rouge, 2022 – 2023 Worked with Associate Professors in course management of emails, grading, and proctoring exams and quizzes: Intro to JavaScript - CSC-2463 (3cr.100 undergraduates). Programming image, graphics, sound, and physical computing. The course is designed to explore the different ways of programming digital media. Additionally, performed duties in the CSC (Computer Software Configuration) Laboratory helping students create computerized solutions using fundamental structures of JAVA programming language, modular design and implementation, and array-based problem solving applicable to search techniques.

Graduate Assistant - School of Engineering, Tandon - NYU, Brooklyn, 2021 – 2022 Communication for Tech Managers - (MG-GY 6183, 3cr., 50 graduates). This highly interactive and participative experience introduces powerful concepts and approaches for effective technical communication, strategy, and delivery. Deliverables included written documents and oral presentations presented both individually and collaboratively to improve communication and presentation effectiveness. 2

Assisted the Associate Professor with course instruction, management, grading, and proctoring of exams, and presentations.

Tutor - Medgar Evers College After School Program, Brooklyn, NY (50 participants) 2004 - 2006; Tutored students grade 5-8th in English, Math, and Science. Teacher - Hampton Court Primary School, Essequibo Coast, Guyana, SA (30 students); Taught primary students in the subjects of English, Math, Reading, and Science.

Internship – Prospect Park Alliance (Nonprofit) Brooklyn, NY Research, Data Management, Social Media and Client Services. Coursework:

Cyber Security, Applied Systems Development, Data Center Cloud Computing, Internet Architecture and Protocol, Operating Systems, Machine Learning, Communication for Tech Managers, C++, Python, and JavaScript.

Research:

“The Future of Autonomous Vehicles and AI” (2023)

Explores the psychological, social implications and benefits of Autonomous vehicles.

“An Experimental Study: Why MMAP is Faster Than SYSCALLS” (2022) The project explores why Memory-Map is faster than the System-Call. The study further measures where the application has a separate target buffer for the data it processes.

“Additive Manufacturing (AM, 3D Printing) Cyber Security Challenges” (2019) The research presented discusses the cyber security risk in Additive Manufacturing

(AM), or 3D Printing. The paper evaluates the impact on manufacturing and identifies viable approaches to secure printing via the Internet. Additional research explores the challenges to the vulnerability of medical devices with regard to security breaches and cyber security.
