This new process was also adopted in the annual hearing conservation program and annual administration of flu shots globally encompassing 15K employees, further salvaging hundreds more manhours on an annual basis.
Oversight of Short-Term Disability benefits for hundreds of employees. This included review of medical tests, treatment notes, consultation, referrals with treating providers, and addressing the appropriateness of work restrictions. Consistently reduced days off (vs) Predicted Model Best Practices Days Off, resulted in consistent savings of $3-$5M on an annual basis.
Developed the framework for a Multidisciplinary Design Team consisting of ergonomists, engineers, expert operators, an occupational therapist, and the on-site occupational medicine physician due to eight OSHA recordable injuries over a six- month period. This intervention allowed for zero recordable injuries in the six- months after its implementation and reduced workers’ compensation costs by $5,835.21.
Designed and implemented ergonomic intervention, studies, and employee surveys. During the study productivity rose 13% from 165 kits per hour to 185 kits per hour, revenues increased $1.5M. Both employee and management satisfaction increased as well.
