Summary
For the past year I have been employed as a production operator and team lead at Magna Electric Vehicle Structures MEVS located in St. Clair a Michigan. During my time with MEVS, I oversaw many of the day to day tasks in regards to the startup up, operation and maintenance of the machines within the facility across multiple lines. I was also placed in charge of many side tasks that were required for the continuous expansions being done within the facility. I was well regarded by both my fellow team leads and by the staff that was under my direct supervision.
Prior to my position at MEVS, I was employed as an Assembly Operator for 4 years with FCA at both the Warren Truck facility and at the Marysville Axle Plant located in Marysville Michigan (FCA/ZF). I have experience on multiple lines throughout the facility, as well as experience training new incoming employees. During my time with FCA/ZF, I have stood out as a very hard worker who was not afraid to put in the extra hours to pick up the slack where needed. I live locally with my wife and two children.
Prior to my employment with FCA/ZF, I attended Port Huron Northern high school. I was a three year varsity athlete and captain of the football team. After high school, I attended one semester at Ferris State University and a second semester at Saint Clair County Community College. In late 2012, I received an incredible opportunity out west and was employed for three and a half years in the state of Nebraska as a Corrections Officer; focused on maintaining peace, security and safety within correction centers and federal prison systems. As a Corrections Officer, I oversaw the general management of the inmates throughout the facility. Report writing and court scheduling were also two tasks I performed on a daily basis. I have training as a PPCT Defensive Tactics Instructor including crisis prevention and intervention.
In 2016 I returned to my home state of Michigan, where I was employed as a Residential Advisor at The Huron House Inc. Which is an Alternative sentencing program for local offenders. I was employed there until 2018, when I was hired with FCA/ZF at the Marysville axle plant.
I am equipped with a strong moral code and excellent crisis management experience. I am very successful with adapting my management styles to suit varying personality types. While I am a persuasive leader, I am also able to generate respect and commitment in all aspects of the job. In short, I take great pride in the work I perform. It is my ambition to utilize my experience and skills and apply them to a leadership/management position.
