Mulosa Hydro Power Plant is a member of the PGI group of Companies dedicated to the development, operation, and maintenance of hydroelectric plants in Malawi and the SADC region.
Responsibilities
Ensuring all Site equipment and switchgear are operated and maintained according to
manufacturer’s guidelines for safe operation thereof.
Ensuring the plant is run safely, efficiently, and effectively maximising energy output under any
given condition whilst not compromising the integrity of any component or piece of
equipment.
Maintaining direct channel of communication with ESCOM, liaising closely to maximise plant,
availability, and reporting and resolving faults.
Responding promptly to faults, and safely minimize power station down time; where required,
operate HV equipment and perform switching operations on the 33kV lines.
Operating the Power Station in accordance with the terms detailed in the Power Purchase
Agreement, Transmission Connection Agreement, Operating Procedure, and Malawi Grid
Code.

Zimbabwe Power Company (Harare Power Station)
ZPC is a subsidiary of the National Electricity Utility Company ZESA. Harare Power Station Is a base-load small thermal power station with installed capacity of 120MW; consisting of (3 20) MW Boilers and (2 30) MW Turbines refurbishment; the other 60MW plant is undergoing CFBC Boiler Repowering project.
Responsibilities
•Managing the operations and maintenance of all operations vehicles and earth moving equipment, dump trucks, front end loaders, bulldozers, excavators, tractors, Hilux’s, etc.
•Managing and monitoring all statutory works by regulatory authorities for (3 20) W Boilers’ Statutory Maintenance and (2 30) MW Turbines.
•Preforming plant isolations followed by the issue of Electrical and Mechanical permit to work and sanction for test safety documents.
•Designing, detailing, analysing, negotiating, and executing an array of contracts for various transactions.
•Coordinating activities of the operations department, allocating responsibilities, and providing technical advice to ensure the safe and efficient operation of the power station.
•Determining departmental priorities on technical and manpower plans in the long-, medium, and short-term basis.

•Defining project activities; develop schedules, contingency plans, exception controls, risk management, reporting requirements, contract management, quality management, procurement and legal compliance and environmental compliance.
•Oversee related processes to ensure optimum efficiencies, manage relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
•Carrying out investigations on all accidents and incidences associated with the operation of any plant, performing route cause analysis and implementation of remedial action and improvements to prevent or minimise future occurrences.
•Capturing and coordinating Risk Management activities including Risk identification, Assessment, Mitigation planning, actions, and follow-up as per integrated management system (ISO 45001:2018, ISO 14001:2015, ISO 9001: 2015).

•Technical evaluation of steam turbine blading components, assessing the existing designs and condition of equipment to develop technical recommendations for cost effective solutions.
•Develop and implement the design of new power plant equipment or system upgrades to meet customer requirements for functionality, schedule, and cost.
•Provide technical field assistance for all forms of field service, start-up, and commissioning of steam path equipment.
•Carrying out high voltage switching operations followed by issuing Electrical and Mechanical permit to work.

Kariba South Power Station is a 1050MW base station located to the Southern side of Lake Kariba, it consists of (6 125) MW and (2 150) MW Francis turbine generator sets which feed into the 330KV national grid.
