Objective

To obtain a position that will capitalize on my experience, accomplishments, and proficiencies as well as allow me to grow as a professional while contributing to the growth of your organization. Professional Experience

HR Generalist, Fairfax Neonatal Associates, PC April 2015- November 2015 Management Consultants for Affiliated Physicians, Inc Fairfax, VA

My career at Management Consultants for affiliated Physicians was focused on onboarding - background checks, sending out offer letters and entering new employees into ADP, E-Verify and various benefit portals. Worked closely with the HR Director to manage all areas of the company, - all INOVA hospital’s Neonatal units, Doctors’ offices, and the management side where all the billing and payroll processes took place. Managed all employee files and ensured any changes that occurred during a payroll cycle were updated in a timely manner.

HR Generalist, CARFAX Inc. October 2007- March 2013 Centreville, VA

I began my career at CARFAX as an HR Coordinator developing my skills in the field of Human Resources. Through experience and training, my role at CARFAX transitioned to HR Generalist taking on more duties and responsibilities. While at CARFAX I worked on a variety of events throughout the year performing tasks such as budgeting, coordinating, scheduling, planning, kick-off meetings, rehearsals, research, cross-department utilization, coordination with outside vendors, company partners, and local business. I coordinated the resources within the team allocated for each event including volunteers from other departments, contracted professionals, business partners, and other resources. One of my focus areas was to partner with a local charity, which allowed us to organize events such as a coat drive, canned food drive, and raise funds for donation during several other events. I established myself in the field of recruiting while working at CARFAX. I performed full lifecycle recruiting including job description write ups for internal and external postings, phone screening of candidates, scheduling interviews with the hiring manager, extending offers, and conducting onboarding. CARFAX performed campus recruiting at The University of Missouri at which I screened students for possible employment. The company relied on a strong internship program to help bolster the internal teams’ while evaluating the skills of prospective hires. My role was to communicate with managers and directors to help hire interns and determine which interns would transition into full-time employment. Due to CARFAX’s focus on families, an important component of my job was FMLA. I tracked employee FMLA with a personal touch while I lead the company transition from a manual based system to an automated system. I successfully led and managed a project to establish a SharePoint based vacation tracking system for employees. Prior to the completion of my “Combined Time Off System” all vacation was tracked manually and recorded by data entry. The HR team adopted the Agile methodology which allowed development of cross-functional teams bringing collaboration, process improvement and an overall strengthening of the department.

Throughout my tenure I focused on learning the needs of the employees by listening, respecting, and assessing feedback from all levels of leadership. My time at CARFAX allowed me to create and author several new events including Valentine’s Day, “Thank You Grams”, Wellness Wednesdays, and a yearly health fair. The packed schedule of events leveraged my project management skills as I budgeted, met deadlines, and coordinated a wide variety of tasks amongst a broad spectrum of teams at CARFAX. General Skills
