to Sept 2014 General Manager, Owner - GM/Owner of Riviera Fitness, a 9,000 sq. boutique club. Turned around a club that was on the verge of closing by assembling a team that grew the membership & revenue base. Completed several remodels to bring in new cutting-edge classes and cut operating expenses, including dramatic cuts in insurance, and payroll.

Dec. 1996 SportCenter Fitness, Inc., Redondo Beach, CA to Dec. 2005 General Manager, Owner - GM/Owner of SportCenter Fitness, a 55,000 sq. ft multi-purpose club. Assembled & directed a team that grew the membership from 1,500 to 2,700 members. Increased gross revenues from $900,000/year to $2,700,000/year. Cut operating expenses, including dramatic cuts in Workers Compensation and Liability Insurance. Implemented programs designed to increase member satisfaction including a quarterly newsletter, a monthly activity calendar, quarterly socials, a phenomenally successful group personal training program, and a daily Manager on Duty walk-through program designed to maintain cleanliness and quality control. While on the Board, we grew the number of member clubs from under 100 to over 225 clubs. We were also able to work with state legislators & through our persistent lobbying were able to amend sections 1812.85 and 1812.86 and add section 1812.96 to the Civil Code, relating to the Health Studios Act. By doing this, we were able to increase the limit on health club memberships from $1,000 to

to Dec. 1996 General Manager - GM of this 18,000 sq. ft. club in an affluent suburb of Washington D.C. Lead the team at an upscale, service-oriented club that was a leader in revenues per sq. foot. Increased yearly gross revenues from $1,800,000 to $2,000,000, while increasing the member satisfaction rating. Doubled personal training revenues, successfully planed & implemented the installation of a new Windows-based club software system, researched, purchased and integrated all new strength training equipment into the club. Planned & completing the renovation of locker room wet areas, which was done on budget while maximizing the small window of time available to complete the project. GM of SportCenter Fitness ran all day-to-day operations including marketing, member satisfaction, & P & L. Increased gross revenues from

$400,000 to $1,150,000 in 2 years while doubling the number of members. Grew, the profit/rent paid to the owners by $300,000 in one year. GM of Marina Cove Apartments oversaw accounting, marketing & maintenance for a high-end apartment building on the water with gross revenues of $700,000 a year. Cornerstone Leisure Industries, Inc. - Marina Athletic Club, Los Angeles, CA Sales Manager - Marina Athletic Club was a 3-acre health and fitness facility, one of five owned by Mike Cheat. Progressed from Fitness Manager to Sales Manager. In Sales Manager role, I worked directly with the GM on the day-to-day operations of the facility. Increasing revenues through membership sales, in 1988 we sold 3,611 memberships, a 43% increase from the previous year. Daily cash deposits more than doubled in 1988 & total revenues increased 82% to $1,456,586. During this time, we also increased the monthly electronic fund transfer to $80,000.
