Research Statement

It's my pleasure to discuss my research interests and objectives.

I would to explain in brief what I realized in my master's, PhD's and Postdoctoral periods. I studied different oxydoreduction systems by theoretical and electrochemical techniques. A theoretical study (simulation and modeling) of the oxidation behavior of rhenium metal, which aimed to understand the mechanisms of electro-reduction and electrodeposition of rhenium ions in molten fluorides. An experimental study of the behavior of dysprosium, uranium and thorium ions in fluoride and chlorides melts (electroreduction mechanisms in inert and reactive electrodes: kinetic & thermodynamic study), which present a part of research series aimed to separate actinides from lanthanides and other fission products in the nuclear environment context of the future-generation reactors.

In addition, I am very interested by the following aspects of research. Firstly, Electrochemical subjects: analysis, corrosion, synthesis and preparation of different materials like carbon, metallic, oxides, composites, ceramics, polymers…etc. by electrochemical, chemical and physical techniques. These synthesized materials are used in many domains. In the environmental context, the necessary characteristics of these synthesized materials are their resistance to high temperature, corrosion, radiation and their selectivity to different compounds and contaminants in biological, energy, water, chemical and nuclear industries So, they can be used as selective and efficient electrodes. In the other technologies, the essential features of these materials are their sensitivity and efficiency to electricity and light. Where they can be used as capacitors, conductors, photo- captors…etc. Secondly, the usage of different chemical and electrochemical techniques in the analysis and treatment of wastes.

I will be very pleased if I work in the synthesis or the preparation of different materials by chemical, electrochemical or physical techniques, or in the usage of analytical techniques in the analysis and the treatment of contaminants, especially nuclear and water wastes. I will be very pleased if I participate in one of your future woks, which can help me to improve my scientific knowledge and to develop other skills.

In the end, allow me to thank you for your help and attention and I will be very pleased if we discuss any subject or any other information.
