• I did outbound sales calls for various catalog products and magazine subscriptions. I worked in this department for about 2yrs and then cross trained and transferred to the Customer Service department.

• I transferred to this department and took inbound Customer Service calls placing orders for various products and subscriptions. I would help the customer with any questions they had and would place their orders for them. This building and department completely shut down and they held interviews for positions in their other building to see who would stay and who they would let go. • I was promoted to credit analyst where I would evaluate the creditworthiness of customers and accounts, their income, assets, debts and obligations and I would share my findings with the supervisors and managing departments. It required me to do some accounting, and I had to create ledgers, financial statements and spreadsheets. I worked in this department until Foster and Gallagher finally shut down and closed their doors for good. A few months later I moved to Texas for a couple of years.

All inquiries on the contracts were routed to my department also. I would assist customers make their reservations and offer different promotions on them that the rental company would run. I worked there while I lived in Texas until I moved back to Illinois so that I could be close to my family and go back to school.

The nearest location was over an hour away and I was not able to commute or relocate so I accepted a severance package from them but always was given good references by them.

Service Repair Representative

• I was working in a call center as a Customer Care Representative when I was cross trained for this department picking up extra work hours. I then transferred over to the repair department and took inbound calls and transfers for people having technical issues with their service. I would then troubleshoot the problems with their service and if appropriate I would create a repair ticket for technicians to go out to repair their service. I would also communicate with the technicians on the customers' behalf either to fine tune the repair tickets, get eta for the service calls or communicate with the technicians while they weout in the field.
