HR Manager-multiple sites Saint Paul Enterprises-Glendora, CA

As an HR Manager, I provide all aspects of HR support for exempt and non-exempt employees in the employment relationship.

●Overview resumes submitted by candidates, if the position requires licenses-insure licensing is in good standing, schedule interviews, provide conditional job offers, perform background checks, provide new hire and benefit orientations and scheduled their 90-day performance reviews with their managers.

●Correct time attendance and submit to payroll company for bi-weekly payroll for multiple sites.

●Track vacation and sick hours’ accruals and requests for payroll. Update balances for year-end payouts.

●Run monthly reports with Office Inspector General (OIG) that all employees are in good standing and not excluded from the ability to work with pharmacy or healthcare provider due to any drug offense.

●Run monthly reports with National Sex Offender Registry ensuring all employees are not in the system.

●Keep track of all pharmacy technician’s and pharmacist’s licenses.

●Handle employee grievances and present them to management teams in order to improve employee morale. As deemed appropriate, keep information on a “need to know basis”.

●From the start of the COVID-19 Pandemic, applied with the EDD Department to reduce the work schedule which provided employees with partial lost wage benefits.

Note: You will see this position overlapping with Sabert Corporation. The reason for this is that I consulted with client companies only on a limited basis when I was on a W2 status.

HR Consultant: Provided independent appraisal of current HR functions and practices and made recommendations when appropriate. Completed in-depth interview with key personnel to understand their current practices, their philosophy and their objectives. Partnered with executive management and met with C level management to shape business strategy to move organization forward. Queried and evaluated existing documents, forms, job descriptions, job classifications, HR handbooks, safety manuals, IIPP program, performance review process, benefit packages, reward and recognition programs, when necessary, did a compensation analysis, and reviewed or established a strong worker’s compensation return to work program, made changes to HR management processes, and the termination process. Worked with payroll and client for reimbursement of tax credits under the Emergency Paid Sick Leave Act (EPSLA) pursuant to the Families First Coronavirus Response Act (FFCRA). Ensure proper documentation is in receipt from each employee affected.

Safety Consultant: Translated numerous training modules into Spanish ready to be delivered to client companies in California and other states. Assisted in mock OSHA and Cal-OSHA Audits with the intent to identify shortcomings in OSHA and Cal-OSHA compliance to point hazards that needed correction versus the ones that are optional. Supported the preparation, implementation and training of various programs. Sought grant monies for qualifying companies from state funds to cover some if not all required safety programs. Have been assigned as a representative between the company client and Cal-OSHA at hearings in order to reduce or remove prior monetary citations for non-compliance.
