Qatar Foundation (Non-Profit) is a private organization working towards the national development in the fields of Education, Science & Research and Community Development (www.qf.org.qa). a) SENIOR FINANCIAL ANALYST / COORDINATOR w.e.f. 1ST JANUARY, 2017 TILL 30TH NOVEMBER, 2020 IN CAPITAL PROJECTS (redundant due to COVID-19). Lead all FPB&A at QF-CPD in Project Management Office viz. development of accounting policies, procedures, financial statements, forecasting, invoice processing for MoF payments, inventory accounting, fixed assets accounting, and GL maintenance thereby ensuring adherence to the applicable accounting standards. Annual budget of QR.3 Billion. KEY RESULT AREAS / KPIs AT QATAR FOUNDATION (CAPITAL PROJECTS)

Developed financial and accounting policies, procedures for QF-CPD.

Lead Finance team to work in collaboration with all the Project Managers to ensure accurate project costs to support on business case proposals and change orders.

Prepare and submit in Hyperion annual budget for QF-CPD. Work with the project management team to prepare financial models, including cost estimates, cash flow, forecasting and budgeting.

Monitor the performance of each project against the set budget. Work with Project Managers in the day-to-day financial management of their respective projects to ensure financial accountability and adherence to policies.

Lead closely with PMCM, Finance, Procurement, Logistics, Asset Management and Capitalization teams in QF, internal and external auditors and Ministry of Finance.

Responsible for Accounts Payable process that includes gaining authorization for quotes, issuing relevant order numbers and dealing on a day-to-day basis with supplier’s queries and requests.

Responsible for 'Contractor Bill Verification and Passing' phase including verification of contractual requirements for performance and advance guarantees, bonds, insurances, etc. Ensure that all invoices pertaining to the suppliers and contractors are processed and paid in a timely and efficient manner. Ensure deduction of WHT if applicable. Maintain a database for all the invoices for future reference.

Ensure monthly and yearly accruals and project accounting postings for ensuring monthly closing correctness.

Update general ledger on monthly basis and ensure accurate posting of all expense and revenue transactions and ensure that financial transactions of QF-CPD are compliant with applicable national and international laws & regulations. Present monthly reports on projects in financial compliance (US- GAAP / IFRS, etc.) including projected cash flow.

Lead Finance with Contracts team in preparation and execution of legal and commercial conditions of contracts with contractors, vendors and suppliers.

Lead in adherence of QF policy QF-Finance (all-round finance viz. Management accounts, General Ledger, Accounts Payable & receivable, Asset Management / Capitalization, Payroll and treasury functions), Human Resource, Procurement including logistics, IT, Support Services, legal services and other administrative issues within QF related to Capital Projects. b) SENIOR BUDGET & FINANCIAL ANALYST FROM 13TH APRIL, 2008 TILL 31ST DECEMBER, 2016 IN RESEARCH & DEVELOPMENT.

Lead in FPB&A of the annual budget development process of Research Division including budget development for programs, services, expenditure items and revenues. Plans and evaluates strategies to link strategic planning and budgeting activities. KEY RESULT AREAS / KPIs AT QATAR FOUNDATION (R&D)

I was working with its newly established company alfanar Energy Co., Qatar as Manager & Business Development Manager.

Develop new business of Electrical Construction at Qatar. Overall management of entire operations of Qatar office as a profit center. Established the office from the beginning including legal company registration formalities, office facilities and business development for the new branch office. Reported to the Group Vice Chairman and Construction General Manager. Promoted in December 2005 as Business Development Manager from the post of Business Development Coordinator of alfanar Construction Co., KSA and alfanar Arabia Co. Ltd., Iraq. Handled Co-ordination activities including Finance / Accounts / Administration / Recruitment / Tendering / Business Development etc. for alfanar Arabia Co. Ltd., Iraq and Business Development for alfanar Construction Co., Saudi Arabia. Took the lead and associated to form alfanar – Awiai and Earthgen, USA consortium to submit Pre- Qualification for Shuqaiq IWPP, KSA (850 MW Power Plant and 212,000 m3 / d Water Desalination Project)

Took the lead to form alfanar - Caramondini, Greece Consortium that was qualified for bidding in King Abdul Aziz International Airport (KAIA) - Jeddah Desalination BOT Project for 30, 000 m3/day Water Desalination plant. This was a BOT project valued close to SR 700 million.

Conducted market survey and established Qatar operations (alfanar Energy Co.) / office – first operation for alfanar Construction outside KSA.
