MANAGEMENT EXPERIENCE
I have 25 years of Management experience. I have Managed various areas and people, from as little as 2 up to 400 direct, and a further 300 contract workers.
I have ILAM and IBRM, (Institute of Leisure Amenities Management, and Institute of Baths and Recreation Management), which are Management qualifications. Incorporated into this are Trainer, and Assessor qualifications, for various disciplines. I am a management tier trainer/assessor/examiner in running a leisure and sports centers, also centers with water-based features, from swimming pools and spas. I ran my own health club, with 35 staff. I had to set up accounting systems, normal operating plans, emergency operating plans, accounting systems, profit and loss, full staff training in all areas they were to work, first aid training, computer skilling, advertising, reassessing, staff roster, pay, vat, and taxes. All legalities of running a business.
I also hold a leisure Management advanced diploma qualification. I have water-based management qualifications for teaching and assessing from National and worldwide bodies.
I am a qualified boat maritime captain, with management experience of running, operating boats from cruising, to scuba diving, day trips inland and coastal waters. These included power boats, and sail boats.
I have a vast amount of Management experience is the Security world, from being in the Special ops with military, over 14 years, a senior manager, commander, to civilian management as a trainer assessor and examiner. I have taught management level courses in conflict Management, Physical intervention, both on level 2, and 3 which are highest level in commercial security, these also enabled me to teach bodyguards with their required skills, with armed and unarmed combat, close quarter combat, Management including remote medic skills. This course was management level, for single operators, and enabling them to become team manager of their own security group, if they were required to add additional crew. This I taught at level 3, which was higher management or consultant level.
I was a coastguard rescue officer, management level in training, and team Manager for search and rescue operations
To add additional Management qualifications. I took a PHD, in Aviation Management. My dissertation in this was to set up an airline, source staff, bases, aircraft, accounting systems, administration, and costing for five years, and show planned accounting with income and expenses for the 5-year period. This included crew training, aircraft maintenance, operating costs per hour for aircraft, aircraft operating certification, sop and EAP’s, landing fees, handling fees, increasing staff over the set period, This I qualified with a distinction, or 3.8 GPA. I was at the time also working as Captain for a major carrier locally based. Since this achievement I have become a training Captain, which is a pilot Management position, with 120 crew. I have become base Medivac Captain. Qualified Dangerous good, RVSM, High Altitude
