Retail/Operations Manager

As assistant store manager, I was responsible for all aspects of retail sales of home improvement products and services. These responsibilities included managing the performance, training, scheduling, safety, company culture and team building for up to 292 full and part time associates.

Other responsibilities included managing shipping and receiving merchandise, customer deliveries, store maintenance, accurate pricing and signage, cross-merchandising and being in-stock. I had to manage inventory levels and payroll cost to insure the store reached is maximum profitability. In addition, I was “Safety Team” captain, Merchandising “Team Captain” for lumber and building material products for the Mid-South division, which included bringing new suppliers and product lines to store locations based on demand. I opened four new store locations and relocated the original Home Depot location.
