Dominos January 2017 – Present

Driver

510 S Dobson Rd. Mesa, AZ Frank Delgatto GM. 626-***-****

I was planning my next office when my sister-in-law had medical problems. She’s better now and back to work and in her own place. There are many talented people with good work ethics at several of the Dominos stores. Mostly weekend and evenings gave a me time to be around the house as needed. Between overtime and tips pay was surprisingly good. It’s time for me to get back the better income I need and the work I love.

Willis Towers Watson August 2016–December 2016 Benefit Advisor

1144 W Washington St., Tempe, AZ

I was contracted to help several large employers like who had to move many of their former employees from company paid insurance for life plans to individual plans with a variety of company moneys to help pay. I got a few new out of state licenses and certified with all the appropriate carriers in those states. Their retirees were understandably angry and usually on a fixed income. I did what I usually do and got them through the process with competence and compassion and were usually pleased with the plans. We found great options without breaking the bank and hit our 90% conversion goal a week ahead of schedule! The Willis Towers Watson people were all top notch.

Farmers Insurance August 2015- August 2016

Agent

9332 E Raintree Scottsdale, AZ

Mostly nice folks here. I started with their rookie program after checking out their products and current pricing. I got a good start on life and commercial including a residential condo complex. Before I signed up was told their auto rates reasonably competitive which I always work with in the past. 12 months later had 2 auto policies including my own. Nonstandard auto had better pricing but did not meet my contract credit or income needs. I also got my license to sell Variable Life and Annuities.

Davis Insurance Group April 2010 – August 2015

Manager and Sales

2336 S Extension Rd., Mesa, AZ

With Hegarty- Haynes in Tempe for P&C I helped find and quote many personal lines applicants. On the commercial side a bakery, a couple of office risks a residential condo., one medical center and one small car dealership. I was working on a larger brand name dealership when the nice folks at Cincinnati got cold feet over it and pulled the plug, there was no backup carrier available. The corrugated cardboard company wanted to spend 1200 a year 1m GL policy. There were many exposures to discuss, they’d rented the last warehouse in town without a sprinkler system and the final premium hit 64k a year. When it did burn down a couple years later policy paid 2.4m with all the coverage they needed. I learned a lot about commercial here. I also grew my life book with the same life group managing a smaller office of 3.

Arizona Health Choices April 2003 – March 2010

Agent and Sales Manager

1842 W Keating Ave. Mesa, AZ

After doing a little research back in town I chose to work with Oak Tree Financial for life and a friend with excellent back-office staff for processing a high volume of apps when I started. Health was paying almost 20% versus 9 or 10% for property casualty. With a huge number of self-employed like realtors and small business individual policies were in high demand and had high renewal rates. Later I grew my business to include 2 office staff and 6 sales people to train coach and support.

I was very fortunate to be able to help all the people I did. I enjoyed solving problems for them and always had a backup plan when the coverage or prices no longer worked for them. When the AHCA killed the good policy for a good price, I got my customers in plans that worked for them with very good people staying in the industry. I went looking for a good place to use my P&C skills again.

Farm Bureau Financial Services Agent October 1998 - March 2003

3401 E. Elwood St., Phoenix, AZ

I got insurance licensing including my series 6 then a 2-year training in Phoenix. Successfully grew my book of business. Learned how to hire and train office staff and later my first marketing assistant here. We had great products for personal commercial insurance. I also sold and serviced a lot of Life Policies Variable Life, Disability, Long Term Care, Whole life, universal life, Term and Variable Annuities. I sold and serviced my first shopping plaza here. I transferred to Steamboat springs, CO with a sister company. It was a resort town so I learned to work closely with underwriting most construction cost was over the top and good fire protection was often hit or miss. I finally got tired of shoveling snow in April so back to AZ easy enough. While I was away the AZ outfit was bought out the new agents’ contract was so bad just about everyone good was going to independents.
