Crate and Barrel September 1997 – July 2007
Midwest Regional Distribution Center Manager Naperville, IL
Began my career as a Receiving Clerk and rose to the position of Midwest Reg. Dist. Center Manager.
During my tenure at Crate and Barrel, I held leadership positions in the Catalogue Fulfillment Division, Wedding Registry Dept, and E-Commerce Fulfillment, with my last position being in the Furniture logistics side of the company.
I was fortunate to have started with this company on the sight of the E-Commerce explosion and was part of the growth which included relocating to new DC in Naperville and opening 5 new stores in the Midwest. I also oversaw the expansion of the Furniture DC from 400 sq feet to 800 sq feet.
As Midwest Regional DC Mgr., I oversaw staff on 3 shifts and partnered with a 3rd-party logistic company that managed our local deliveries. I hired, mentored, and developed the staff. I was responsible for the safety training and maintained the OSHA log for the DC. I also traveled throughout the Midwest to support stores and hubs. I also managed the inventory and budget.
