• Managed on-campus student employment by reviewing all student employee paperwork for compliance, employment eligibility, enrollment and FTE %.

• Assisted the University's 70+ departments in understanding the hiring process for students and the limits on their employment percentage or conflicts with other positions on campus. This included how to post jobs, the hiring process and various departmental needs that did not fit the usual parameters.

Benefits: • Enrolled new hires into the benefits plan, answering their questions and giving them advice when possible, signing them up for the retirement plan when they became eligible and helping them with their online enrollment when needed. In a year, around 320 new staff hires and faculty enrolled in benefits.

• Used SAP for separations and all other benefits changes, also for checking these changes in the Payroll area before the pay was released to make sure everything was correct.

• Organized many wellness seminars over the years including one on depression and anxiety and many on healthy eating and food safety, found and enlisted professional presenters.

• Organized specific benefits events like retirement planning seminars, Medicare seminars and annual enrollment informational meeting and computer labs.

• Regularly processed other benefits matters such as FMLA and retirements as well as participating in intercampus committees related to benefits.

HR General: • Organized and led the monthly New Employee Orientation, providing around 15 - 25 new employees each month an introduction to the University and selecting speakers from across campus to speak to them about their areas.

• Was the primary person overseeing the electronic I-9 and the remote I-9 process (for all employees, not just students), trained others and dealt with problems that would come up. • Provided excellent customer service over the phone, by email and in person to a great number of employees, potential employees, students (and their family members at times).
