Power plant control engineer

Strong knowledge in power plants controls and operations, including steam turbines, water system, steam generation, water treatment AUX boilers HRSGs and generators in deep experience in the instrumentation and controllers includes valves, pressure gages and level transmitters and ABB DCS operating system.

Organization : California Institute of Technology (Caltech)

Senior utility plant operator ( SUPO).

-Monitor and operate natural gas 3 boilers rated at 350 psi and combustion

( HRSG ) using Factory link (SCADA) system.

- Monitor and operate steam turbine generator rated at 2.5 MW.

- Operate chillers (CRF), cooling towers, compressed air and other utility plant

equipment .

-Monitor Continuous Emission Monitoring System (CEMS)

-Analyze, diagnose and correct problems within the utility generation and distribution systems using Factory link (SCADA) system.

-Monitor and report problems by the building management system (BMS)

From February 2020 Till September 2021

Organization: Opal fuels renewable power

• Power plant operator. for 2*3MW natural gas (landfill) generator CAT 3600 series.

Oversees and monitor for regular and safe running

Normal start up and shut down and emergency shut down.

Do routine maintenance and check all fluid levels.

Share in 3 major maintenance.

Collect and record loges for CEMS.

oPosition : Senior operation shift engineer

• Supervised the Leading a team for switch gear operation with

national control center to connect and disconnect the 220KV generator function.

• Solve problems on a local area.

Steam turbine (150 MW – ALSTOM – Fuel Gas & oil) starting up,

shutdown and supervision of all units equipment.

Operating and monitoring a steam turbine system (3stages HP, LP & MP)

and all its facilities related to the plant.
