Responsibilities

I was a relief head operator over a 30 men shift that produced SBR rubber. I had worked in all areas of the rubber process(Packaging, balers, dryers, coagulation, reactors & recovery areas and tank farm). I have expertise in Styrene/butadiene rubber process, which involved steam compressors, reactors, blowdowns, stripper columns, flash tanks, various centrifugal pumps, dryers, PH requirements in coagulation, conversion, & re slurry operations. Also I have experience with 30,000 to 60,000 lbs per hour boilers, and chiller/condenser systems.

Accomplishments

Started from a trainee classification, and progress to A operator in 4 years, and then promoted to vacation relief for 10 years, and finally made relief head operator for the next 4 years, and was preparing for the next head operator position inline.

Skills Used

Fire fighting skills, and 40 hour HAZWOPER certification for 6 years Forklift training Trained operators in the various areas of the rubber process.
