RIVENDELL OF UTAH: August 1986-March 1988: Charge Nurse in 80-bed pediatric psychiatric facility, staff RN, floor therapist, and head nurse relief as required. Responsible for care of neurologically impaired children, some with seizure disorders and learning disabilities. Cared for adolescent patients primarily with conduct and behavioral disorders. Personally developed and taught weekly health classes, did admission health screening exams at intake, actively participated in surrogate parent program, and received the "STRIDER" award for excellence in job performance.
