April-2006 to Present; Lead Maintenance Mechanic; Merck

Supervise daily operations and maintenance of the Energy Center. Provide operation and maintenance Cleaver Brooks boilers, Glycol chillers, Chill water chillers, Kobelco and Ingersoll Rand air compressors. Provide operation and maintenance of cooling towers, pumps, motor and laser alignment of pumps. Perform PLC and electrical troubleshooting of all associated equipment. Monitor all GMP and non GMP equipment via BAS, Delta Y and Rockwell energy management systems. Operation and maintenance of GMP equipment WFI, RO, Meco Still, clean steam, biowaste and process waste equipment. Perform daily operation maintenance of neutralization skids. Perform daily maintenance and troubleshooting of bulk chemical tank farm. Performa maintenance on IPA, NAOH, and CIP-100 skids. Manage contracts for daily qualification in Hirewire to include all high-risk permits. Oversee lockout and tagout of all project equipment and systems used by contractors.

October-2005 to April-2006; Maintenance Mechanic; Manpower (Merck)

Set-up, changes over and adjusts all vaccine process equipment according to SOP’s. Determines proper settings and clearances, install parts and adjusts for given machine requirements. Test run equipment to determine coordinated timing, alignment, machine height. Identifies the root cause of equipment malfunctions occurring while equipment is in operation. Performs minor and major overhauls to process equipment by completely disassembling, repairing and reassembling equipment to operation condition. Provides technical guidance to outside contractors. Perform preventive maintenance inspections and prepare inspection reports. Upgrades and prepares drawings, schematics and diagrams.
