REVELANT PROJECTS

• Norwalk Wastewater Treatment Plant

Acted as project manager of team design project applying the fundamental concepts of treatment processes in designing a wastewater facility for the city of Norwalk, CT. All aspects of pollution control and engineering operations were considered to meet regulations. The recommended design was proposed during an oral presentation to the Durham public and a written report submitted to faculty members.

• Prairie Waters Project

Participated in team design project evaluating unit processes employed in biological treatment of drinking water to design a water facility for Aurora, CO. Prepared engineering reports including developing design alternatives and economic analysis to ensure compliance with all environmental impact requirements.

• Oil Flume Experiments

Constructed annular flume in university high bay in accordance with EHS to investigate oil for coastal response research. Conducted laboratory analysis to determine toxicity of tank water and designed treatment system to meet the town of Durham discharge permit. Received approval from town officials to begin oil experiments. FIELD EXPERIENCE

Tidal Profiling of Sarah Mildred Long Bridge, NH

• Profiled water current for Department of Transportation and determined potential for tidal energy Isles of Shoals Wave Energy, ME

• Analyzed meteorological and hydrodynamic conditions to investigate the impacts of climate change in on the NE seacoast and proposed management plan to protect systems from sea level rise Classification of Great Bay Estuary, NH
