Feasibility Study for the Ethiopia-Somalia Electricity Transmission Line Interconnections Project
Main Tasks included: support EAPP and participating countries in the implementation of the planned interconnection study projects with regards to Substation and Transmission line engineering activities.
Activities Include:
Monitor and follow up on the progress of the feasibility update for the transmission lines interconnections.
Organize and participate in the regular meetings with the consultants and the utilities.
Interact with the consultants and the Joint Working Team and coordinate responses and clarifications to the consultants.
Review the deliverables of the consultants and provide technical inputs with a focus on selection of transmission routings, selection and siting of transmission towers, selection of conductor types and sizing, and proposals of other accessories.
Review of and provide technical inputs to the preliminary design documents and technical aspect of the tender documents for transmission line for substations,
telecommunication, control and protection systems and voltage control system.
Participate in the review, update and approval of reports, drawings and other deliverables by the consultants.
Observe, evaluate, advise on design standards and technical specifications to ensure they are compatible with EAPP grid code.
