Charger Shale Oil Co. – CFO

Served as the CFO for a $200M Midland-based private-equity backed oil and gas exploration and production company, where he was a founding member of the management team,

Implemented and oversaw all financial management, accounting, administrative, IT, HR and risk management processes, training and supervising a team of 3 direct reports.

Selected and implemented an oil and gas E&P software package (OGSys, now Quorum) and developed all related accounting processes.

Enwater Solutions – CFO

Installed by the private equity sponsor (TP&H) to overhaul all financial management and accounting processes,

Teamed with the CEO to acquire a salt water disposal company, integrate it into our water transfer company, and transform Enwater into a full service O&G water management company.

XOG Operating – CFO, served as the CFO for two related, family-owned independent oil and gas exploration and production companies, where he:

Overhauled all financial management and accounting processes, completed a stalled external audit, and arranged new banking facilities.

Oversaw a team of 3 direct reports and, using Integra (Avatar) software, ensured timely and accurate processing of all accounting processes, including:

General ledger and financial reporting,

Accounts payable and Revenue processing,

Joint interest billing, and

Authorizations for expenditure (AFE) and division orders.

Reduced income tax exposure by over ten million dollars.

VCFO – Managing Director of the Dallas/Fort Worth consulting practice

Responsible for delivery of financial management consulting services, business development and recruitment and supervision of all personnel.

VCFO operates in six cities in the western U.S., providing financial management talent, such as CFO’s and Controllers, to client companies on a fractional basis.
