• For UL’s SaaS-based learning solutions division, developers of ComplianceWire®, my responsibilities included RFP/RFI responses, customer-requested sales proposals, sales presentations, pre-sales questionnaires, and responses to Quality Assurance audits.

• As the sole proposal resource for our company, I maintained both win and down-selection rates

that are 22% better than industry averages. In all cases, this was against competitors who were 2x –

5x our size.

• I liaised continuously with all department heads, including Product Management, Pre-Sales

Engineering, Professional Services, Development,

Security and Infrastructure, Compliance, Legal, and others, to provide the best and most current

responses to customer pre-sales surveys and questionnaires. I cataloged and leveraged responses forward to minimize redundant engagement with those departments and to accelerate response times.

• Despite a “pursue everything” policy and a drastic increase in proposal volume, I developed and drove a proposal pursuit process that delivered a nearly 400% improvement in win ratio over three years for a $50 million/year SAP services company.

• My responsibilities included proposal writing,

developing graphics, liaising with recruiting

staff, reviewing resumes, interfacing with

customer procurement, managing teaming

partners, participating in pricing exercises and

legal reviews, and more.

• I implemented a modified Shipley proposal

process, including opportunity scoring, RFP
