Job Description:

Collect and examine supporting documents.

Prepare payment vouchers, and receipt vouchers.

Maintain float, loan and salary advance registers.

Prepare monthly payroll.

Prepare cheques payment vouchers and ensure that all payments are well supported as per the finance manual.

Record all transactions in tally accounting soft ware.

Prepare petty cash vouchers.

Be responsible for petty cash held in the office.

Prepare Petty Cash Form, and request additional cash as necessary.

Carry out cash count every two weeks.

Maintain asset register and ensure that it’s up dated.

Prepare monthly payroll and other statutory returns and then submit to the supervisor for approval and review before making payment

Prepare pay role and ensure that all statutory deductions are filled before their due dates.

Prepare pre qualification and open bidding documents

Accounts assistant provides administrative support to accountants, undertaking clerical tasks such as typing, filing, making phone calls, handling mail and basic bookkeeping.
