Perform policy and legal analysis when necessary for Commissioner's charges and other complex charges involving review of other state laws, regulations, and case law.

Analyze and interpret the ADA, ADEA, Title VII and other EEOC laws and guidelines, case law, and other laws related to carrying out the purpose of the MN Human Rights Act as it relates to employment cases.

Conduct discrimination charge investigations including witness interviews, drafting case summaries and memorandums which involve legal research and analysis.

Provide lead-work direction and training to assist in the professional development of Department's new Enforcement Officers. Worked on cases filed in the areas of housing, public services, public accommodations, education, and business provide familiarity with other laws such as DHS laws; IDEA; Rehabilitation Act; Bankruptcy. Work with an on-line data recovery system where all relevant case information and documents are stored.

1999-2003 Mediator for the Workplace Mediation Program, OFFICE OF DISPUTE RESOLUTION, State of Minnesota.

Mediated approximately 12 workplace dispute for State of Minnesota employees.

The largest case involved 10 employees. Training received from Hamline University School of Law, Mediation Center for Dispute Resolution.

7-11/1992 Domestic Abuse Consultant (Contracted) with the MN DEPARTMENT OF CORRECTIONS

Research, wrote and edited a policy paper for proposed efforts to reduce the threat of domestic abuse towards past survivors. Developed draft standards/rules for the project.

Developed and implemented a certification process for local grant service providers.
