Under the general direction of the Grievance Officer, The document control grievance team must implement policies and procedures to identify and handle time-sensitive incidents reported through a grievance that involve an immediate threat to the health, safety, or welfare of a child or youth. In the case of medical emergencies, staff must ensure the minor receives proper medical attention for further assessment. This may include providing the minor with an assessment by a qualified health practitioner or calling emergency services when appropriate.
