As a dedicated Sergeant of Rhode Island Amy National Guard and Police Officer of the City of Providence RI, I have built a strong foundation centered around servant leadership. My intrinsic passion to listen, learn, and adapt has helped to build a strong platform of continuous improvement. I am a team player who is highly energized by taking a proactive approach to doing the right thing always with a keen appreciation for the safety of fellow co-workers, the public, and myself. Providence Police Department, Providence, RI

Patrolman Jan 2019 – Current

• Responsible for providing safety and order to the streets of Providence, RI

• Played an active role in ensuring safety during June 2020 civil unrest/riot in downtown Providence.

• Executed over 200 apprehensions with a specific focus on reducing firearms and narcotics in the community.

• Embraced community based policing resulting in a strong partnership within a diverse community.

• Leveraged fluency in Spanish ensuring clarity in communication with Spanish speaking citizens. Rhode Island Army National Guard 43rd Military Police Brigade, Warwick RI Military Police Soldier/Sergeant April 2013 – Current

• Been in charge of approximately 10 soldiers since becoming a sergeant on March 2018.

• Hold an active Department of Defense SECRET CLEARANCE since 2013

• Deployed to McAllen, TX in support or US Customs and Border Protection by detecting and reporting illegal activity at the US Southern Border with over 400 detections.

• Lead soldiers during Southern border deployment with a Border Patrol Scope Truck to detect illegal activity.

• Went to the Non Commissioned Officer’s Academy at Camp Johnson, VT (Trained to lead, teach and train fellow soldiers)

• Trained soldiers in firearms and tactics during drill weekend based off civilian police experiences

• Provided security at the National Governors’ Convention (June 2016), President Trump’s Presidential Inauguration

(Jan 2016) and the Bristol, RI 4th of July Parade (July 2018). Providence Place Mall Security, Providence, RI

Supervisor August 2018 – Dec 2018

• Ensured that the $375 million building was operational in regards to electricity, water, public safety, and customer service

• Supervised approximately 15 security personnel on shift (3pm-11pm) and ensured that everyone met the standards.

• Assisted local police (Providence PD) with assistance in regards to many crimes that occurred on mall property, whether with CCTV or being a presence to prevent possible crime from occurring.

• Certified and trained other security personnel with handcuffing and OC spray procedures.

• Proficient with handling dispatching equipment and ensuring that fire code and active shooter protocols were up to standards.

Security Officer July 2015 – August 2018

• Provided safety and exceptional customer service

• Assisted a juvenile who was stabbed with a knife on the leg, outside the mall. Provided care for him until first responders arrived.

• Assisted with prevented countless possible shoplifting incidents.

• Deterred any possible theft/victimless crimes
