WHITE HOUSE IN ARABIC’S FOUNDER AND EDITOR-IN-CHIEF WHIA.US

WHIA is an independent online media platform that covers news and events directly from the White House in Washington DC and through communication with America’s top officials and decision-makers.

WHIA’s main target is to enhance better understanding and dialogue between the United States and the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region, and countries of interest. Bukai’s Role:

● conducting and writing political and analytical op-eds and stories.

● interviewing top governmental officers, diplomats, and Congressional members on internal and foreign policy issues.

● Translating and posting breaking news from its source, and analyzing its repercussions on the world, especially in the Middle East.

● focusing on objectively relaying the significant Middle Eastern and world events to US decision-makers, Along with conducting one on one interviews with Arab and middle eastern leaders.

WHITE HOUSE SENIOR CORRESPONDENT

Buka’s Role:

● Reporting and writing daily updated stories on the news related to the President of the United States, the White House, and the US government, in relation to national and international top news and issues.

● Attending press conferences and press secretary's daily briefings, writing and publishing them to WHIA.US in both Arabic and English languages.

● Attending the President's official events and press conferences.

● As a holder of permanent press credentials, I have the access to interview and ask questions during presidential events to all top official and White House official guests, including the POTUS and VPOTUS.

● Identifying Congressional contacts and decision makers for interviews on essential and breaking daily news and topics.

2015 -PRESENT

SENIOR ADVISER TO THE CONSTITUTION COMMITTEE AND NEGOTIATION COUNSEL TO GENEVA PEACE TALKS ON SYRIA, AN ENTITY SPONSORED BY THE UNITED NATIONS The Syrian Constitutional Committee was launched on 30 October 2019 in Geneva under the mandate and supervision of the United Nations and Security Council. Bukai's Role:

● As a senior consultant to the committee, I worked under the guidance of the U.N. to write the first draft of the future Syrian constitution amendments.

● As an outreach and spokeswoman on behalf of the committee, I contacted and interviewed the country of interest's leaders and decision-makers in Turkey, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, France, Germany, Sweden, and more in order to build a common ground to help the peace process and the proposed new constitution facilitation.

● I consistently and closely helped and assist the committee in editing and managing the language and political terminologies in the constitution's first draft to adopt all Syrian peace process needs including women's and minorities' rights along with a focus on concrete studies on countering extremism and fanatism. 2010 to August 2012

DEPARTMENT OF STATE – Foreign Service Institute

Senior writer and developer of the Public Diplomacy and Communication Project at the Foreign Service Institute of the Department of State. The State Department Awarded Marah Bukai with an honor certificate in recognition of her role in tutoring and training American foreign service officers on public diplomacy and cultural orientation in relation to Arab and middle eastern cultures and traditions.
