My name is Richard Mills and I am a graduate of SMU. I have assisted public campaigns for candidates, corporations, cities, regulatory and state commissions for 25 years. I know the strategic practices to drive a successful campaign and what to unleash when attacked. I approach business as if it were a campaign, It's all about relationships, public trust, familiarity and message discipline.
In 2002 -2006 I worked at Public Strategies Inc.. in the Government Affairs practice group. Much of my work was state and federal whether through PAC management, contributions or Bill tracking for clients at PSI. That includes advocacy for businesses before Congress, State Legislatures, Regulatory Boards and Commissions.
In 2006 I founded and ran Public Campaign Group from 2007-2022 to win public campaigns for rural Texans. Bond elections for schools and local/county projects had been taking off and rural Texas was being left behnd. I found that Bond elections propositions only enhance public partnerships and visibility within any community. That was my target.

It appears to me that the Southwest is going to be swamped with political activity. In Texas we've got an expensive and tied U.S. Senate election. Arizona is a disaster with Sinema and Cari Lake, also a tight Senate race. In Nevada, cortez-Masto is in a tough and even Senate race. Colorado has Boebert. You could very well have the Southwest decide who controls the U.S. Senate.. New Mexico is the only safe place this cycle. I bring this up because politics is going to play a big in the next year where you do business. Having someone on the ground that appreciates these matters is an asset.
Committee, I hope to merit your consideration.
Respectfully,
Richard Mills
