Worked with security team to implement Logon Points on Citrix Netscaler with Citrix Advance Access Control. Setup all Citrix policies including special printing policies to enhance printing from anywhere at anytime.

Created an Active Directory Organization Unit (OU) specially for Citrix. Enabled Loopback Processing, created and implemented Group Policy Objects (GPOs) to completely lock down a Telecommuting Desktop for UN users globally. The goal of this desktop is to provide access anytime from anywhere in a pandemic situation. The new Citrix 4.5 farm is design with the ability to handle 2000 users concurrent Worldwide.

Implemented and configured Flex Profiles as a profile handling solution. Install, configure and publish applications like, Nucleus (web base application), Swift, Opics, Office 2003, Dreamweaver, Service Center just to name a few.

Currently testing Citrix Streaming component as an option for some applications for users in Rome. Used a VBscript (and MFCOM) previously created by me to migrate the Citrix Access datastore to SQL.

Install, created and configure Application Isolation Environments (AIEs) for legacy applications previously installed in application silos. Wrote a number of MFCOM scripts to manage everyday Citrix administration.

Migrated Access data store to SQL 2000 and wrote a script to automatically configure all servers in the farm to utilize a new DSN to point to the new data store. Address all Citrix issues escalated up from the helpdesk. Tweak the Registry to make incompatible applications work in the Citrix environment.

Use Filemon and Regmon to track down application issues as it relates to Citrix.. Created intranet sites for Citrix Web Interface 4.0. Install and created a test lab to test the new Citrix Presentation Server 4.5.

Created Citrix farm with VMware Server virtual machines. Installed a W2K3 Active Directory for feasibility testing for new department. Used Vbscript with WMI to administer W2K3 Active Directory environment.

Examine software code with developer to determine why legacy application would not work in Citrix Environment and worked to change code written in Visual Basic in order for the application to work. Resolved all known issues with Citrix.

Utilize Citrix policies to control data collector communication depending on existing subnet and to control overall Citrix experience.

Designed and implemented a virtualization Citrix farm solution using VMware GSX.

Configured and implemented 5 virtual machines on one host all running Citrix CPS 4.0.

Design, configure and implement AIEs (Application Isolation Environments) for couple applications that were not Citrix\Terminal Server friendly.

Design, upgrade and implement a upgrade solution for IBM from Citrix Metaframe 1.8 to Citrix Metaframe XPe, MPS 3.0 and MPS 4.0.

Implemented performance enhancements to the environment by heavily configuring and manipulating the Windows Registry.

Design and implemented a Windows 2000\2003 Active Directory solution, including the migration of 100s of current users using the ADMT tool.

Tested and implemented the Hyperion application. Perform day today administration. Setup and monitor the backup of all critical data using Arcserve.

Planned, designed and implemented a new Citrix solution for all of Amtrak. Redesigned an exsisting farm that consisted of Metaframe 1.8, Metaframe XPe Feature Release 1, 2 and 3.

Created a new zone, redesigned and configured one server with such applications as, Fingate, Spear 2000, Chase Insight, Timberline, Cyrstal Reports, Voloviewer, Adobe Acrobat,Synergy, Dameware, SAP, Attachmate, Oracle, Asis, Hyperion, Timesheet Lite, Office 2003, Linkone (catalog software), Peregrine, Debt Lease, Remote Desktop, just to name a few.

Installed and configured many Citrix clients for connections to the Citrix farm. The main client used was the web client and the Java client.

Designed, configured and implemented the Java client on a wide scale. This required the installation and configuration of the Java plugins as well the Java 2 Runtime Environment standard Eidtion v1.3.1. All applications were pushed out via the Citrix Web Interface and through an Emergent Online lock down desktop.

Implemented Citrix Secure Gateway saving Amtrak an estimated two million plus dollars a year. This one server was configured using mirrored drives. The other twenty plus severs were then cloned. The result was a single farm all running Metaframe XPe Feature Release 3, all identical and all load balanced. Configured the STA server, the CSG server and setup the Firewall rules for each server in the farm from the DMZ.

03/2001 to NEW YORK CITY HUMAN RESOURCES ADMINISTRATION (HRA)

04/2004 Senior Network System Engineer

Support NT4.0 and Windows 2000 Advance server (with Windows 2000\2003 Active Directory) networks in TCP/IP, DHCP, WINS, 100BASETX environments. Was part of design team that tested and implemented Citrix Metaframe XP in a Windows 2000 and 2003 with Active irectory in a partial production environment. This included using both Windows 2000 rofessional as well as Windows XP.

Installed, tested, configure and troubleshoot HRA's applications on Citrix Metaframe XP servers in a Windows 20002003 environment. Installed all group polices for all users in HRA's domain and created Taskpads for junior administrators through Microsoft Management Console. Took part in initial design of 2000\2003 Active Directory Forest for HRA in both Windows 2000 and 2003 platforms.

Install and configure a variety of different dedicated servers including PDCs, BDCs, Print Servers, and Application Servers. Create user accounts, home directories, NT profiles, and Kix32 printer logon scripts. Install and configure all network adapter cards with pertinent TCP/IP information.

Use SmartStart to configure Compaq Servers running Raid 5. Install, configure and optimize all applications for the Application servers. Support for PowerBuilder applications running on multiple NT4.0Windows 2000 Advance servers in a Nortel Networks 100Base TX TCP/IP LAN environment.

Perform installation and configuration of FileNet client software as well Oracle client on NT4.0 and Windows 2000 workstations. Troubleshooting all types of problems arising from network connections, application errors, client and server connection errors and LAN/WAN connection errors. This was done on this huge network with the aide of PcAnywhere, Terminal ServerClient and VNC for remote sites.

Member of design team that created and implemented a new Citrix Metaframe farm for HRA in a NT4.0Windows 2000 Advance server environment. This network consists of over 10,000 machines and 100 Citrix Metaframe Compaq servers using NFuse. Configure farm for load balancing. .

Installed and used Terminal client/server to monitor all Citrix Metaframe farms. Installed all service packs and patches as needed as well as optimize all Citrix servers for maximum performance by manipulating the registry. Address all Citrix related issues across all 200+ sites of Human Resources Administration.

Participated in the initial stages that installed, tested and troubleshoot HRAs specially developed program (POS, Paperless Office System) in a Citrix Metaframe platform. This program required the installation, testing and troubleshooting many other programs including but not limited to, Filenet, Topaz, Sigplus Signature Capture, Oracle Client and Watermark.

On a day to day basis I addressed all Citrix issues City wide.
